Our research group has long-term openings for Master's students, Ph.D. students, Postdoctoral Researchers, Research Assistants, and Tenure-track/Tenured Faculty. Our annual enrollment plan includes 2–4 Master's students and 1–2 Ph.D. students.

1. Desired Backgrounds

• Engineering: Urban rail transit, tunnel and underground engineering, geotechnical engineering, geological engineering, marine engineering, etc.

• Interdisciplinary Fields: Candidates with backgrounds in mathematics, mechanics, information science, computer science, and artificial intelligence are highly encouraged to apply for interdisciplinary research.

2. Platform & Resources

• Research Platform: Affiliated with the Research Institute for Future Underground Cities, Shenzhen University (led by Academician Xiangsheng Chen). Members will receive hands-on mentoring and direct guidance from me on research execution, paper writing, and grant applications.

• Research Directions: Focusing on the mechanical behavior of geomaterials under complex soil-water interactions and disaster prevention/control in underground engineering. Research topics are highly flexible and will be customized based on your personal career planning (academia or industry).

• Research Conditions: Well-funded with state-of-the-art experimental and computational facilities. We maintain deep collaborative relationships with renowned research teams in Hong Kong and Europe, offering abundant opportunities for international exchange and joint training.

• Compensation & Benefits: We provide highly competitive salaries and benefits, supported jointly by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, Shenzhen University, and our research group. For Postdocs, the comprehensive annual salary starts at 330,000 RMB, with outstanding and overseas candidates earning between 420,000 and 500,000 RMB.
