Dr Zhenyu HUANG is currently a Associate Professor in college of civil and transportation engineering, Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Durability for Marine Civil Engineering, Shenzhen University, China. He received his PhD from National University of Singapore in 2015, working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the SembCorp-NUS corporate Lab, Faculty of Engineering for 2 years before he joined SZU. His research focuses on the Marine FRP/steel-concrete composite materials and structures, lightweight steel-concrete composite PPVC structures.
Dr.Huang has won the Talent Tutor (PhD Tutor), Shenzhen Overseas High-level Talents (Peacock Program Talents), and Liyuan Outstanding Youth of Shenzhen University. He is currently a member of the board of steel-concrete composite structure branch of China Steel Structure Association, a member of the board of China Steel Structure Association, and deputy director of Guangdong Key Laboratory.
He has published more than 60 academic papers in the field of Marine and Composite materials Structures, including 38 SCI journals (Engineering Structures, Composite Structures, CBM, JCSR, Thin-walled Structures, etc.). He authorized three Chinese invention patents and 18 utility models. He has been funded more than 10 national and provincial scientific research projects. His scientific research achievements won the Gold and Silver Awards in the High Performance Concrete Project Competition of ACI (Singapore Branch). He has won the only one Best Composite Structure Paper Award in the 8th International Conference on Steel Structure and Aluminum Structures. He has won the Best Paper Award of the first International Conference on Steel Structure Research and Application. He has been a guest editorial board member of SCI journal Frontiers in Materials: Structural Materials(IF=2.689) and a peer reviewer of 22 SCI/EI journals.
