Yanshuai Wang is a full professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, Shenzhen University. He is a National-level Young Talent, a Guangdong Province Youyue B Card Talent, and a Shenzhen Overseas High-Level Talent, and He was appointed as a Deputy Director of Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Low-Carbon Building Materials and Technologies, an editorial board member of Journal of Composites Science (IF=3.7) and a young editorial board member of Journal of Building Materials.

Prof Wang was listed among the top 2% most cited scientists globally for 2023–2026. His research focuses on zero-carbon/low-carbon civil engineering materials and technologies, corrosion inhibition and protection of coastal concrete, safe disposal and resource recovery of solid waste into building materials. He has led three National Natural Science Foundation projects, one sub-project of a national key R&D program, and six provincial and municipal scientific research projects including major Guangdong-Guangzhou science and technology cooperation initiatives. He has participated in two advisory projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, one national key R&D project for young scientists, and two regional joint key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation. He has received four scientific awards, including the First Prize of Natural Science of Guangdong Province and the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Tianjin, as well as one Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from China Communications Construction Company. He has published over 80 academic papers with more than 5,200 cumulative citations. He has filed over 30 invention patents, 19 of which have been granted. He has contributed to the development of three national standards and two industry standards.
